Mon projet de recherche vise à mieux comprendre l’implication de l’inhibition dans le développement de la lecture. Plus spécifiquement, nous avons pour objectif (i) d’étudier l’interaction entre l’inhibition et le développement de la lecture d’un point de vue développemental à travers une étude longitudinale et d’un point de vue causal à travers une étude d’intervention. De plus, nous souhaitons (ii) vérifier l’hypothèse d’un déficit d’inhibition spécifique en lecture (domaine-specific) ou général (domain-general) chez les enfants dyslexiques Finalement, nous nous pencherons également sur la question neuro-anatomique en mesurant les changements neuronaux suite à une intervention d’inhibition en lecture.

My PhD project aims to more fully understand the implication of inhibition in reading development. Specifically, we aim (i) to study the interactions between inhibition and word reading development through a longitudinal study assessing the developmental dynamic and through an intervention study evaluating the causal relationship between the two skills. Moreover, we aim (ii) to test the hypothesis of a domain-specific deficit or domain-general deficit in inhibition in dyslexic children and assess the neural changes after a reading inhibition intervention.
